"Harmony and Connection: My Experience at Auroville Youth Camp (AYC)"
I’m Anusha Joshi from Bangalore, pursuing science in Christ University. Participating in Auroville Youth Camp organised by Auroville was an incredible and unforgettable experience that I will carry with me for a lifetime. The camp offered a holistic approach to personal development, encompassing physical, mental, and spiritual growth.
We had the privilege of attending enlightening lectures by Sraddhaluji Ji, Raghav Krishna ji, and Dr. Sampadananda Mishra. These sessions provided me with a profound understanding of spirituality, the essence of true nationalism, and the significance of the Sanskrit language in today's world, all illustrated through the inspiring examples of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.
A serene place of calmness set in Auroville, a vision brought to life by the Mother. The environment allowed for introspection and a much-needed retreat from the chaos of daily life. I found myself enveloped in tranquillity, bliss, and a deep connection to the Divine.
Activities like the sound bath and visits to the Svaram Sound Garden cultivated a sense of harmony and inner peace. Our excursions to the fashion store and Sadhana Forest opened my eyes to the importance of conscious living, sustainability, and choosing environmentally friendly products. Embracing a community lifestyle and starting each day early instilled a sense of discipline and helped me manage my time more effectively.
Three nourishing meals were shared daily, during which we engaged in meaningful conversations, all while disconnecting from our phones. This experience highlighted our capacity to overcome phone addiction with intention and mindfulness. It served as a powerful reminder to pause, reflect, and strive for a healthier, more balanced life.
I also had the opportunity to connect with remarkable individuals from around the world, each sharing unique perspectives that enriched my understanding. I am immensely grateful to Mollika Di and all the volunteers for orchestrating such a transformative camp, giving us memories to cherish forever.
Thanks and regards,
Anusha P Joshi.
